Student Expectations
To make the most of your voice lessons, please follow these guidelines:
Arrive Warm: Please come to your lesson warmed up. If needed, I can provide a custom warm-up regimen based on your vocal type and needs.
Hydration & Rest: Stay hydrated, get 6-10 hours of sleep, and avoid inhalants (which can negatively affect your voice).
Voice Awareness: Stay aware of your physical and vocal condition. The more mindful you are of your anatomy, the quicker you can make adjustments and improve.
Consistency in Practice: Aim to practice 3 to 5 days a week for meaningful progress.
Music Binder: Bring a music book or binder with durable rings and clear slip sheets. Include 5 songs that showcase various soundscapes in your voice—think of different characters, emotions, and eras.
